bowlingball.com Brunswick Fortera Bowling Ball Reaction Video Review

The all new Brunswick Fortera is going to change how you view bowling.

The Fortera Exile is the definition of skid/flip.

The all new Fortify reactive coverstock is performance enhanced using additive chemistry technology. Finished with Royal Compound and Royal Shine, this coverstock will provide easy length with the quickest response to friction, to date.

The Fortera Flip core was designed for an enhanced breakpoint and maximum continuation.

The Fortera Exile will allow you to create the proper angle into the pocket from inside angles and on medium-heavy conditions.

REACTION SETUP

The Fortera Flip can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric core bowling balls.

LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINEERING

At Brunswick, the unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. At 12 and 13 pounds, Brunswick uses a generic core shape with a RG-differential that is close enough to the 14 to 16 pound shape so the same drilling instructions can be used.

The Brunswick Fortera Exile is currently selling for $144.95 and rates a 229.7 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.

Pyramid Path Origin Pearl Gold Bowling Ball Review and Video

The Path Origin Pearl…Start Your Journey.

Pin to PAP(5 1/8″ over 1/8″ up) – 5 1/8″
Relation Weight Layout – RICO 45*
Balance Hole – 1″ x 2″ – 6 3/4″ from pin through cg

Surface Preparation – Out of Box (1500/Polish)

What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
The Path Origin Pearl was designed to offer a longer and stronger look then the original Path Origin.

By using the same core and coverstock only pearlizing it we were able to achieve an unmatched ball motion off the break point with the control that we loved so much from the Path Origin.

I ended up with multiple Path Origin’s in my bag since its release and I did have one drilled up with the “Rico” layout. It turned out to be my favorite motion from this ball so I figured I would do the same to see the difference the cover change made.

I should see a really clean look off my hand with a smooth transition and a ridiculous move off the friction down lane.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
During our initial testing of this ball I knew that Pyramid Bowling had something very special with this ball. Not only does it look amazing both on the shelf and going down the lane but they were able to create a totally different motion from the original ball without making drastic changes to the ball. The Pearl cover offers a cleaner look with a sharper backend which most league bowlers tend to like.

As I said earlier this ball gave me a much straighter look through the heads, not reading any friction too early. As it moved into the middle part of the lane I saw it pick up strength setting up for an absolute explosion on the backend. The original Origin was a typical solid reactive ball, in that it revved up a little earlier and gave me a nice predictable motion the entire lane. The Pearl version offers a sharper move with increased angle of entry at the pins.

The Path Origin Pearl will be a great compliment to the Origin or any of the Chosen Path balls as the lanes dry out a bit.

bowlingball.com Brunswick Aura Paranormal Bowling Ball Reaction Video Review

This bowling ball may well prove to actually be from the “other side”. At times the carry and movement around the pin deck certainly seems like something else is going on. This is one hook monster and certainly will change the way other bowlers look at you. So when you throw strikes and toss pins around the pin deck like they came out of nowhere, just tell them it was the Brunswick Aura Paranormal and that’s all you know!

Get ready for a reaction like you've never seen. The Brunswick Aura Paranormal bowling ball will defy everything you know about ball motion!

Optimum-Hook Solid Coverstock

The Optimum-Hook Solid coverstock is Brunswick's newest development based off our performance enhancing additive chemistry research. Optimum-Hook Solid coverstock provides an overall hook potential higher than any Brunswick ball to date. The overall hook potential is increased by added traction in the mid-lane and backend. The new Optimum-Hook Solid coverstock incorporates a new base reactive along with our additive technology to create exceptional traction in oil for the Brunswick product line.

Aura Ultra Low RG Core

The Aura Ultra Low RG Core features a single density rounded-off elliptical inner core. The core is dynamically designed to extend the rotational energy, boosting angular velocity to transfer energy to the pins for increased pin action and higher scores.

BALL MOTION

The Paranormal Aura continues a new age of ball motion for Brunswick never seen before. Exceptional hook potential, quick response to friction with strong continuation on the backend. The Paranormal Aura with its 2000 grit Siaair Micro Pad finish, reaches the highest hook potential of any previous Brunswick ball to date on medium to heavily oiled lane conditions.

REACTION SET UP

The Aura can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls.

LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINEERING

The unique core shape of each individual ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. Storm Sync Bowling Ball Video Review by bowlingball.com

One of the most aggressive and reliable bowling balls to come out of Storm since the Virtual Gravity. Always evolving, always innovating, the team at Storm has come out with another great winner with the Storm Sync that will prove itself on the lanes time after time.

In order to reach the pinnacle of your game, you've got to have balance between your technique and your equipment. It's never been as easy as it will be with the Storm Sync!

Starting at the center, the technical team incorporated our strongest asymmetrical design to date, a shape with .028 intermediate differential, known as the G2 core. Why G2? Because it's the second generation of our Shape-Lock HD core which powered the original Virtual Gravity!

This new shape helps you best select the proper layout to produce the desired migration path and resulting ball motion, a system recognized as the Vector Layout System. This helps explain the theories behind the Lightning Strikes PSA drilling guide which brought you the pin buffer system of laying out bowling balls.

For the cover, we involved nanotechnology to create premium traction in oil. In fact, NRG creates 15% more surface roughness that only increase over time. You might remember how nanotechnology allows for peaks to be created on the sides of other peaks? Well, it's the real deal, and you'll see the difference the moment you step up on the lanes.

The new Sync by Storm - sure to help you "sync" up your game so you can bowl your best!

The Storm Sync is currently selling for $159.95 and rates a 224.9 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.
